Our Challenge
One of Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio’s greatest challenges is the need for funding. Since we are not a government organization we rely on private funds to continue to build homes in partnership with families in need. The major sources of funding come from the community – faith organizations, corporations, foundations, community organizations and individuals. We are not a government program and are not funded by the United Way.  Join a Hab-i-tour

  • 100% of funding that is donated is used for our house-building program. This is possible because our Home Centers fund our fundraising and general and administrative expenses.
  • Contributions to Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio Inc. are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
  • Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio holds our donors close to our hearts. We do NOT sell or rent any information about our donors to third parties.

Why You Should Donate?
There are many reasons to invest in Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio. Here are just a few.

Your gift changes lives, gives hope for the future, and strengthens families in San Antonio. We sell homes to motivated, low-income working families based on the belief that every person deserves a quality, affordable place to live.

Your contribution supports our local community. We build and sell affordable houses in the City of San Antonio.

We use your money wisely. 100% of every dollar goes directly toward our home building program and services, rather than fundraising and general and administrative expenses.

It makes good economic sense. Habitat for Humanity first-time homebuyers offers a new base of taxpayers for the City of San Antonio.

Your gift strengthens San Antonio neighborhoods. Vacant lots once overgrown and degraded with garbage are transformed into homes where children and families flourish. Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio constructs houses in large-scale communities so that neighbors can work together to improve entire neighborhoods. Homeowners are active in their communities and schools.

We build partnerships and community beyond the neighborhoods where we build. Often, we bring together volunteers of diverse backgrounds to build a single home. These volunteers gain new understanding and an appreciation for others -- not to mention new and lasting friendships.
