San Antonio Domino’s Pizza Stores to Raise 'Dough'

Domino’s Pizza is giving residents of San Antonio a tasty reason to give back to their community. From March 23 - 24, Domino’s in San Antonio will offer a “Habitat for Humanity” special, and will donate $1 from each large one-topping $5.99 carryout pizza sold to Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio.

Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio helps local families in need build homes at no interest and no profit. As of the end of 2010, the organization had helped build 682 houses.

“We are excited to partner with Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio and be able to help deserving families in the area,” said Alan Murph, Domino’s Pizza franchisee in San Antonio. “Being part of a community means giving back, and donating a portion of the proceeds for a large one-topping pizza is our way of making a difference.”

Domino’s Pizza stores in San Antonio are open for delivery and carryout. Domino’s Pizza offers customers a full menu to choose from, including four types of pizza crust (thin, hand-tossed, deep dish and Brooklyn Style), Domino’s American Legends®, BreadBowl Pasta, Oven Baked Sandwiches, Cheesy Bread, Breadsticks, Chicken Wings, Boneless Chicken, Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes, CinnaStix® and Coca-Cola® products.

About Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio

Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio is an ecumenical, Christian organization working with hardworking families in need to build simple, decent and affordable homes without interest or profit.  Habitat families are required to put in a minimum of 300 hours of “sweat equity,” meaning they help build their own home as well as the homes of their neighbors.  They are also required attend home ownership education classes on a variety of subjects ranging from financial management to home maintenance.  In turn, they purchase their homes on a 0% interest, 20-year mortgage.  Their payments average about $400 a month, or about half the fair market rent for a two-bedroom apartment in the city. HFHSA plans to build 55 homes in 2011.
