    Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio is venturing out into new territory!  We’ve become one of the growing number of organizations to set up our own fan page on Facebook.

     

    If you are reading this, you more than likely are already one of our supporters or you are looking to become one of our supporters.  Take it one small step further and become our “fan” on Facebook. 

     

    By doing so, you will be helping us spread the word about our organization. And, as an added bonus, you’ll be kept up to date with our progress and our coming events.

  • Join us on a Hab-i-Tour!

    Even though February is barely half-over, spring is already in the air. Why not take advantage of some of the beautiful weather and join Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio on a Hab-i-tour?

    This is a wonderful opportunity to gain some insight into the organization, its building program and the families served by that program – and hear it all straight from those involved: the staff, the volunteers and homeowners.

    It’s a real bargain for the price – FREE! It only lasts an hour so the commitment is minimal and you’ll walk away with the reward of knowing just what an impact HFHSA has made and is still making in San Antonio. You’ll also get a brief look into the lives of the hardworking and dedicated families we serve.

  • Pick up a hammer for a unique Valentine's Day!

    Looking for something fun, meaningful and unusual to do this Valentine’s Day?  Tired of the “no date on Valentine’s Day blues” or just want escape the tradition and try something new?

     

    Why not trade hearts and chocolates for hammers and nails by participating in Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio’s special Valentine's Day Singles build?

     

    Set for Saturday, Feb. 14, the event will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in HFHSA’s Palo Alto Community.  Volunteers will participate in the construction of eight homes that will be under construction in the neighborhood.

     

    Participation is free but donations will gladly be accepted.  I can’t think of anything more meaningful (and yes, maybe even romantic) than helping a family in need achieve the dream of homeownership.   • A Gift from the Heart Builds Houses

    Christmas is almost here!  The days seem to be speeding by at a pace I can hardly keep up with.  Every year I promise myself to save more, get more organized and be ready for Christmas before it gets here.

     

    Well, guess what?  I’ve remained true to form and I’m faced with another hustle- and bustle-filled holiday with a mile-long list of people I still need to buy for.

     

    If you are anything like me, there are always a few on that list who just seem impossible to buy for.  They generally already have it and if they don’t, they just go out and buy what they want!

     

    I am always on the lookout for a meaningful gift for that “hard-to-buy-for” person.  Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio has a perfect gift option for Christmas or any time of the year.
