Full time Construction Crew Leader/Trainer/Driver
Full time Construction Crew Leader/Trainer/Driver needed for Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio, TX. Experience and Knowledge of residential construction process required. This is a foreman type position working mostly on our build sites. We provide the building plans, daily task list, tools, materials, and eager volunteer builders and helpers. You provide the leadership to get the day’s activities done! Must be great with people and like teaching others. Must be able to perform tasks without direct supervision. Must be able to hook-up and drive a pick-up truck pulling a trailer.
Normal work shift is Tuesday – Saturday with overtime pay for any time over 40 hours a week. Good Salary based on experience. Full Time Mortgage Loan Underwriter/Application Reviewer
Full Time Mortgage Loan Underwriter/Application Reviewer needed at Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio, Texas. Ideal candidate will be a quick learner, detail oriented, have a cooperative and positive attitude, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be a non-smoker.
Duties will include: review & score mortgage questionnaires; underwrite full mortgage loan applications including analyzing income, debts, debt ratios, & other criteria; prepare closing profiles and some closing documents; work with attorneys, insurance companies, appraisers, & title companies to prepare accurate closing documents; review/approve final closing documents; prepare closing packages; conduct a Pre-closing buyer education class; conduct or coordinate the actual loan closings; etc.
Qualifications: minimum 2 years experience in mortgage loan processing & mortgage underwriting; excellent communication skills; ability to multi-task & prioritize work; ability to work independently & as part of a team; ability to adapt to change but ensure task completion; strong computer user skills & proficient with Microsoft Office programs. 2015 High School Summer Internship
Habitat is seeking energetic high school students to participate in its 2015 Summer Internship Program. If you’re at least 16 years old with a desire to gain hands-on real-world experiences to develop your potential and expand your resume, then this program may be for you.
As a Habitat intern, you will learn first-hand the integrity, empathy and maturity that comes from meaningful community service. Over the course of 8-10 weeks you will have the opportunity to learn and then lead hands-on residential construction, working alongside staff, volunteers and future homeowners. Your efforts will have an immediate and lasting impact on the lives of families we serve…and you can do all of this in the time you already have off from school!
Students will intern full-time during summer break (approximately 40 hours per week) and receive a stipend. Preference may be given to those who are participating in their High School Construction Trades Programs from participating schools. EOE.
